US tourist boat capsizes in Missouri, death toll reaches 17

In the United States, the death toll in the capsize incident of a tourist duck boat on Table Rock Lake near Missouri rose to 17, after authorities located the bodies of four more missing people. Spanish international news agency, Efe reported that Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader provided the new fatalities figure, adding that seven people were injured in the



accident.

The boat, a replica of a World War II-era DUK-W amphibious craft, capsized during a storm late Thursday. Fourteen of the 31 passengers survived the accident.

In a tweet, President Donald Trump extended his deepest sympathies to the families of those involved in the accident.
