The US has warned its citizens against non-essential travel to Pakistan, saying the country continues to experience significant terrorist violence, including sectarian attacks.
State Department in its latest travel advisory on Pakistan warns US citizens against all non-essential travel to Pakistan adding that foreign and indigenous terrorist groups continue to
pose a danger to US citizens throughout Pakistan.
The State Department also noted that the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a notice to Airmen concerning the risks to civil aviation operating in Pakistan, particularly at low altitude, during the arrival and departure phases of flight, and when on the ground, due to extremist/militant activity.
