Vladimir Putin says he is ready to travel to Washington

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, he had invited US leader Donald Trump to visit Moscow and was ready to travel to Washington. 

Mr Putin was talking to reporters following a summit of leaders of the BRICS nations in Johannesburg yesterday. The comments came after the US



administration earlier this week delayed a second summit between Mr Putin and Mr Trump to next year.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said, Mr Trump is open to visiting Moscow once he receives a formal invitation from the Russian President.
