A weather warning has been issued following heavy rain in parts of the UAE.
Thunderstorms hit areas of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Sharjah on Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning.
The warning was issued by the Civil Defence, police authorities and the National Centre for Meteorology.
Hazardous weather conditions along sections of the coast in Fujairah, Dubai and Sharjah are expected to continue until at least 8pm on Monday, November 10.
Residents were advised
to be prepared for the possibility of heavy rainfall, rough seas and strong winds.
On Saturday, the NCM shared videos on its Twitter page showing heavy showers and dangerous driving conditions in northern parts of the country.
Light rain was also reported in Dubai and Hatta on Sunday morning by members of the public, while the NCM issued yellow and red warnings for people living near the coast to stay on high alert.
Abu Dhabi is expected to stay dry on Sunday with only a small chance of rain in the capital. Parts of the emirate may experience reduced visibility due to sand storms.
