Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has said that his government will pursue more robust collaboration with friends like India, South Korea amongst others, to build pillars that uphold the architecture of regional stability. Speaking at the annual Shangri-La Dialogue last night, Marcos emphasized the strengthening of defence capabilities under the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defence Concept
to protect Philippine interests.
He emphasized on joint efforts among like-minded states to uphold regional stability through shared interests and collaborative initiatives.
Earlier in April, the Philippines received India’s BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles as part of a 375 million US Dollar agreement, signed between the two countries in 2022.
