Yemen’s Houthis claim responsibility for missile attack on Israel

Yemen’s Houthi group claimed responsibility for a missile attack on central Israel, according to a statement aired by the Houthi-run media.

“To support the Palestinian people and Hamas, we carried out a qualitative military operation through which we targeted a military target of the Israeli enemy in the Jaffa area,”



Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a televised statement on Sunday.

“The operation was carried out with a new hypersonic ballistic missile that succeeded in reaching its target, and the enemy’s defences failed to intercept it,” he said, adding that this type of missile could evade aerial shield systems on land and sea.
