Thousands of yoga enthusiasts in the UAE will once again assemble on 20th, 21st and 22nd June to celebrate the 5th edition of the International Yoga Day.
Briefing the media today in Dubai , the Indian Consul General Vipul said that the Consulate and the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi in association with the various Indian Associations will be organizing the mass Yoga session at Zabeel Park in Dubai, Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah , Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi and other location at Ajman, Umm Al Quain , Fujairak and Ras al Khaimah.
The programme where thousands of people are expected to participate is being organized with the help of local authorities of the UAE. Consul General Vipul said that
there is a lot of enthusiasm for the forthcoming International Yoga Day Programme not only amongst Indian expats but also amongst people of other nationalities as well.
All Indian Curriculum schools are also being encouraged to organize and promote Yoga as a healthy way of living. Mr Ghazi Ahmad Al Mandani of the Dubai Sports Council, who was present with the Consul General Vipul for the media briefing said that “Dubai encourages a healthy lifestyle and Yoga is another good way of attaining it”.
Dubai Sports Council along with Isha Foundation, Art of Living, Rajayoga Meditation Centre, Heartfulness Yoga are active partners in promoting the International Yoga Day in UAE.
