Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, has approved a project for renovating Zamzam water well.
The project features construction of five crossovers, of eight meters width and 120 m length, said Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahmam Al-Sudais, the general Chairman of the Holy
Mosque affairs, in a statement to the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya television channel, on Saturday.
The well surrounding will be sterilized, he said, indicating that sterilized, highly permeable gravel will be used.
The project will last for seven months, ending ahead of the next fasting month of Ramadan.
