Conference president Farooq Abdullah said his remarks were not new. criticised for saying that Pakistan Occupied
Kashmir (PoK) is in Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir is in India, A day after he was criticised In

terrorists and militants.Abdullah, on Friday, had said that PoK was
with Pakistan and that war was not an option. On Saturday, he attempted
to clarify his statement and said the same again. "PoK will be a part of
Pakistan, J&K will be a part of
India. It is not something new that
I have said," said the former chief minister of J&K. "All of
India's forces can't defend against terrorists and militants," he was
further quoted as saying by news agency ANI.Abdullah was slammed for his
remarks, even as his son - Omar defended him saying that this was the
long-standing belief of his father. In fact, Abdullah suggested that
the interaction between people should be increased, instead of focusing
on territorial disputes. "People to people contact is essential. That is
how fear is fought," he said on Saturday. "
