Hyderabad: The next generation launch vehicle GSLV Mark-III would fly next month, said the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar here on Thursday.
Participating in a lecture organized at Tagore Auditorium as part of Osmania University Centenary celebrations, he explained the various initiatives take up by the ISRO in the technological development of the country.
Dr.Kumar
also said that the GPS enabled GEO Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) has been made mandatory by the Union government for all the aircraft to be registered after January 2019.
The Airports Authority of Indian (AAI) and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) have already certified installation of GAGAN in aircraft for life safety application and for route planning and precision landing.
