Incessant Rains & Gusty Winds Disrupt Life in Darjeeling Hills, West Bengal

Incessant rains and gusty winds have disrupted normal life in many parts of the Darjeeling Hill areas. Power supply in most of the hilly areas has been disrupted in the last 36 hours, resulting in significant hardship for residents. Internet services have also been interrupted.

due to strong winds and heavy rain, electric poles and trees have been uprooted in some areas. The concerned district administrations are monitoring the situation. The movement of vehicles has been affected in many areas adjoining Kurseong and Darjeeling due to rains and landslides.
