Telangana Minorities Residential Educational
Institutions Society (TMREIS) would be spending Rs 80,000 per annum for every
student who would be selected for the residential schools scheduled to be begin
from June 13.
According to officials, the schools would groom the students coming from poor background to able to face the competitive examinations of All India Services and also choose their career prospects in the private sector.
They would be provided with quality education on par with corporate schools, but would be given a direction to their lives by offering bridge courses after SSC. After completion of SSC, they can choose options like MPC, BiPC, CEC and MEC, integrated with EAMCET / IIT-JEE / CA-CPT / CLAT / 5 years PG Course.
There would be a total
of 39 schools for boys and 32 schools for girls, where the percentage of ration
would be 75 per cent for Minority students and 25 per cent for others. For
instance in Hyderabad eight constituencies have been finalised. Bahadurpura
would have schools for both boys and girls, while Asifnagar, Saidabad,
Secunderabad Cantonment would have
boys’ schools and Charminar, Golconda and
Musheerabad would have girl’s schools.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali would be officially launching its website www.tmreis.telangana.gov.in on Saturday, where at least 200 students would be enrolled online. He would also flag-off 10 publicity vehicles to be engaged for publicity of the residential schools in 10 districts of the State, apart from releasing the publicity material.
Parents of the students interested for enrolling their children can apply online starting from April 23 to May 15. The eligibility criteria for students include annual income of parents, which should be less than Rs 1.5 lakh in rural and Rs 2 lakh in urban areas). They must be a native of the district in which they would be enrolled.
Documents to be furnished include Aadhaar Card or Ration Card, Date of Birth Certificate along with Income Certificate. Students have three options in choosing languages amongst four government recognised languages, including Urdu.
