One step closer to “Housing for All” vision of PMAY

The proposed plan by the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana who envisioned to provide residency to all by 2022 is already on an achievable track. As per the record of required housing, Municipal Corporation of Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Bhiwandi-Nizaampur, Mira-Bhayander, Vasai, Virar, Ulhasnagar, Navi-Mumbai , Pen, Panvel, Karjat, Khopoli, Badlapur, Ambernath, in collaboration with MMRDA have kick-started their projects. This move is an initial step towards the



aim of “Housing for All” vision. The applicants are suggested to enroll on their official website (https://mhada.maharashtra.gov.in). The eligibility to enroll is, the annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 300000. The family should not own any permanent housing in any part of the country. Members of MMR associations are also eligible to be part of this enrollment.  The estimated costing of 300 sq. ft is expected to be Rs. 10,00000.
