Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra helped airlift a two and a half-year-old girl suffering from a tumour to AIIMS Delhi on Friday evening.

The girl was previously admitted to Kamla Nehru Hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.

Her condition was extremely serious and the doctors inferred

she wouldn't survive.

However, Congress leader Rajeev Shukla, who was campaigning in Prayagraj, requested Priyanka Gandhi to help get the girl better treatment in Delhi.

Priyanka Gandhi was quick to act on the request and sent the girl and her family to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi via a private plane.
