Rajasthan govt awards CV Anand

Hyderabad: State Civil Supplies Commissioner CV Anand has been presented with Innovation Leadership Award by Rajasthan government.

Union Minister for IT, P P Choudhary presented the award to Anand at a special award ceremony ‘e-India Innovation Summit Rajasthan’ held in Jaipur on Friday.

The award was given in recognition to various digital initiatives taken up by Anand including passport verification in three days, introduction of e-challans in drunk and drive cases and traffic violations, installation of CCTVs in police stations during his previous tenure as



Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad.

As Commissioner for Civil Supplies, he has taken up several digital measures to plug loopholes in the system, established Command Control Centre, installed CCTV Cameras in godowns and framed enforcement wings.

Addressing the Innovation Summit, Anand highlighted the innovation measures adopted by him as part of e-governance and emphasized the importance of information technology in government departments to increase the public interaction, reduce corruption, and to provide speedy and better services.
