SC to hear appeals challenging bail to Shahabuddin today

Supreme Court will hear today the appeals challenging bail to controversial RJD leader Shahabuddin in a case pertaining to the killing of a youth in Siwan town of Bihar. The state government moved to the Supreme Court last week seeking cancellation of Shahabuddin's bail saying it was not properly heard by Patna High Court while



granting him the bail. 

Earlier, the apex court on Monday adjourned the hearing on the plea filed against bail of Shahabuddin and scheduled the hearing for today. Shahabuddin, who was in jail for 11 years in connection with dozens of cases, was granted bail by the Patna High Court on 7th of this month.
