Robert Vadra said he has faced several allegations from political leaders and was anxious to see how the case against Arvind Kejriwal pans out

Hitting out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal amid the latest series of corruption allegations, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s son in law Robert Vadra on Monday said: “What goes around comes around.” While making the statement, Vadra said that since its inception Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had levelling ‘baseless, false accusations’ on him. “From inception in 2010, the ppl who threw baseless, false accusations at me are now having to face a similar plight. That too from an insider who claims to have substantial proof,” Robert Vadra wrote in a post on Facebook.

Vadra also said that he has faced several allegations from political leaders and was thus anxious to see how the case against Kejriwal pans out. “I’ve borne so many false accusations from various politicians, mostly to



gain publicity for themselves or divert the public mind from important national issues that I’d like to see how this one plays out,” he added.

“I sincerely wish Mr. Kejriwal all the best. I hope he comes out clean for the sake of the people who believed in him. Also for the respect of his immediately family, especially the children, for whom such trials by media, of those they love and look up to are painful and sad,” he wrote on his Facebook wall.

Arvind Kejriwal has been facing the heat after his former cabinet member Kapil Mishra claimed that he saw the Delhi Chief Minister taking a bribe of Rs 2 crore. Mishra said that he would share all “evidence” that he has against Kejriwal with the Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday. He claimed that he was an “eyewitness” to Jain handing over Rs 2 crore to Kejriwal.

Meanwhile, AAP dismissed Mishra’s allegations against Arvind Kejriwal as “baseless”.
