10 persons trapped under snow avalanche at Jawahar Tunnel in J&K

Ten persons have been trapped under snow avalanche at Jawahar Tunnel on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
According to security sources in Srinagar, among the trapped persons six are police personnel, while two are fire service men and two prisoners. The snow avalanche hit Jawahar
Tunnel on Kashmir side last evening.

The joint rescue teams are finding it extremely difficult to reach the spot to retrieve the trapped persons, due to bad weather on account of continuous heavy snowfall in the area.Further details are awaited.
