In Uttarakhand, the 11-day-long Air Force exercise began yesterday at Chinyalisaur Airport in Uttarkashi district.

The exercise is scheduled to continue until the 28th of November. On the first day, the Air Force carried out landing and takeoff drills using its AN-32 multi-purpose transport aircraft.

Uttarkashi shares its border with China,



and Chinyalisaur Airport holds significant strategic importance for national defence. To enhance its operational readiness, the Air Force has been working to develop the airport into an advanced landing ground. Regular landing and takeoff exercises involving both multi-purpose aircraft and helicopters are part of this ongoing initiative.
