11 people killed in road accident in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, eleven persons including several children died after drowning when their tractor trolley fell into a mountain Nallah near Chiknota village under Maharajganj Tarai police station of Balrampur district in the evening yesterday. 

SDM Keshavnath Gupta said that five bodies were recovered late in the previous night while six have been recovered



in the morning today. Divers have been pressed into service to fish out missing people as there were nearly twenty persons in the trolley which was returning after Durga idols' immersion. DM Balrampur Preeti Shukla said that SDM and Tehsildar have been deputed on the accident site to carry out the relief and rescue work. Meanwhile two persons were saved alive.
