In Uttar Pradesh, 112 people have been arrested in the strife-torn Kasganj district. An official statement of Police said that 31 accused have been arrested and 81 preventive arrests have been made in this regard.
The security forces personnel have intensified the vigil in the affected areas. Additional DG (Law and
Order) Anand Kumar told PTI that the situation is heading towards normalcy, and markets have opened. Three drone cameras had been deployed for aerial surveillance. In Lucknow, Director General of Police, OP Singh said that the National Security Act will be slapped on criminals for vitiating the atmosphere in the area.
