The 12th All India Pension Adalat will be held in New Delhi today. Minister of State for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh, will preside over the event. The 12th Pension Adalat will focus on the resolution of long-outstanding pension cases.
The event will be attended by 16 ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Central Pension Accounting Office, Central Board of
Direct Taxes, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Railways, and others. 180 cases pertaining to ministries will be discussed during the event.
The primary aim of the Pension Adalat is to provide a single platform for on-the-spot resolution of long-pending grievances. It also provides an additional forum for redressal of pension-related grievances, obviating the need to approach courts for litigation.
