17-Year-Old Girl Shot Dead In Mercedes Car In Delhi, Missing Friend Is Suspect

A 17-year-old girl was shot dead in a Mercedes car just outside her home in Delhi's Najafgarh last evening as her mother, waiting for her, watched. Her missing friend is a suspect.

The girl had gone with two friends for lunch and was being dropped off by the boys after some shopping. Her mother, anxious that she was getting late, called her around 7.30 pm. That was the last that mother and daughter spoke.

The girl's mother has told the police that



she saw the car arriving and, as she waited, one of the friends came out, leaving her daughter inside with the other boy. She suddenly heard a gunshot.

When she rushed to the car, she saw her daughter lying in blood. The boy who was with ran away.

The girl was taken to hospital by her mother and the other friend.

The weapon has been found. The police are looking for the friend who ran away. His family is also believed to be missing.
