The 17th Urban Mobility India conference began at Mahatama Mandir in Gandhinagar yesterday. Inaugurating the three-day conference, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stressed the important role of urbanisation in the social and economic development of the country during the last 10 years.
Speaking on the ocassion, Mr Patel said, the conference will act as a
platform for mutual exchange of experiences and developments in the states in the fields of urban mobility and will also help to adopt the standardized solutions for various urban mobility challenges. Over 3,000 dignitaries, including the officials and policymakers of central as well as state governments, are taking part in the conference.
