19 killed in UP road accidents

At least 19 persons were killed and more than 50 injured in road accidents at different districts in Uttar Pradesh while celebrating Raksha Bandhan festival yesterday. Reports from Sonbhadra district said three persons, including a brother-sister duo, died in road accident under Ghoraval Kotwali area. In Bulandsahar district, a person died and 30 others injured in bus-tanker collision under Dadri area. In Kaushambi district, a girl died and a couple injured when an uncontrolled freight



vehicle hit their bike near Manjhanpur area. 

Reports from Rampur district said 4 persons including a girl and 2 women died in road accident near Modi factory area. In Saharanpur district a woman and a kid died while 2 others injured in accident in Sarsava area. In Mirzapur district, six persons were washed away in spate of water and four others injured in the incident. In Bhadohi and Sitapur district two persons died and 4 injured in two different road accidents.
