1st winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly begins today

The first winter session of newly elected 13th Himachal Pradesh assembly commences today at Tapovan Complex at Dharamsala. All security and other arrangements have been made for the session which conclude on 12th January. 

On first day of the session today, Protem Speaker Ramesh Dhawala will administer the oath to newly elected



Assembly Members.Tomorrow, there will be election of Speaker and Governor Acharya Devvrat will address the House. 

There are 44 members of ruling BJP in 68 members house and the opppsition congress party has only 21 while CPM has one and two members are independent. There are 22 first timer MLAs in the house.
