2 JCOs martyred in Pakistani army's sniper fire along LoC in Kupwara district, J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, two Junior Commissioned Army Officers were martyred yesterday in Pakistani army's sniper fire along a line of control in Kupwara district. 

According to Army sources in Srinagar, Pakistani troops in violation of ceasefire opened the sniper fire upon the Army posts in Jimmigund area of the district. 

Two Army officers suffered serious



injuries in the attack and were immediately evacuated to military hospital Drugmulla where one of them, Junior Commissioned Officer Subedar Gamar Thapa succumbed to injuries.

The other injured, Junior Commissioned Officer Subedar Raman Thapa was later referred to base hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment. However, he also succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
