2 people die & 2 others lose their eyesight after consuming spurious liquor in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar

In Bihar, two people died and two others lost their eyesight after consuming spurious liquor in Qazi Mohammadpur police station area in Muzaffarpur district. The number of affected people could increase further as police and district administration have launched door-to-door searches in the area to find people who have



fallen ill after consuming spurious liquor. Police have launched a drive against illicit liquor suppliers in the Pokharia Pir area after the hooch tragedy hit. 

In Bihar, the manufacturing, consumption, and storage of liquor has been prohibited since 2016.
