2.46 lakh farmers have been benefitted from PM-KUSUM Scheme, says govt

New Delhi: Government has said that nearly 2.46 lakh farmers have been benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan, PM-KUSUM Scheme. The scheme provides for installation of solar pumps, solarization of existing grid-connected agricultural pumps and installation of



grid connected renewable power plants.

 

New and Renewable Energy Minister R. K. Singh said this in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha yesterday. He said, PM-KUSUM Scheme has been extended till 31st March 2026.
