251 prisoners released across Telangana

Considering the good conduct, 251 prisoners including 26 women prisoners lodged in jails across Telangana were released by the government on Tuesday. Among the prisoners selected for release, 190 persons were convicted with life term.  

As many as 39 prisoners from Cherlapally Central Prison, nine persons from Chanchalguda Central Prison, 26 women prisoners from Chanchalguda Women’s Prison, six prisoners from Sanga Reddy District Prison, seven from Mahbubnagar District Prison, six



from Nalgonda District Prison, seven from Warangal Central Prison, 17 from Nizamabad District Prison, seven from Karimnagar Prison and eight prisoners from Khammam District Prison were released.  

Telangana Prisons Department officials said the Standing Committee under the leadership of the Principal Secretary constituted by the government had finalised the names of as many as 251 prisoners including life and non-life convicts to release them basing on their good conduct.
