The 28th conference of central and state statistical organizations organized by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation(MoSPI) concluded yesterday in New Delhi. The two-day conference was themed on the ‘Use of Data for Decision Making- Strengthening State Statistical System.’ The valedictory session marked the culmination of two days of engaging sessions and panel discussions.
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said that during the conference,
discussions were held on a wide range of subjects of common interest between Central and State Government departments. It added that representatives of more than 30 Central Ministries and departments with State and Union Territories including the Reserve Bank of India, Indian Statistical Institute and others, participated in the conference. The conference was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh Monday.
