In Rajasthan, 29 people have tested positive of the Zika virus in Jaipur. Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Veenu Gupta said that Health Department and administration are striving hard to control the disease.
She said that more than 170 teams have been deployed in the affected areas for conducting door to door survey.
More than 27 thousand houses have been surveyed so far.
A high-level central team is in Jaipur to assist the state government in control and containment measures.
Survey and surveillance work are going under the supervision of
central teams. Micro plan has been made to control the spread of virus and special teams are cross verifying the positive cases.
Detailed guideline has been issued for Medical colleges and Chief district and medical officers to tackle the situation. Jaipur is the third place, where Zika cases are reported.
In India, the first outbreak was reported in Ahmedabad in January 2017 and second outbreak in July 2017 from Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu. Matter of relief is that Ministry of Health had control the outbreaks in both Ahmedabad and Krishnagiri and no fetal impact have been detected so far.
