To promote innovation, 2nd edition of Singapore - India Hackathon will be organised at IIT Madras, Chennai from Sep 28 to 29 this year.
Speaking to media in New Delhi today, Secretary for Higher Education, R Subrahmanyam said India-Singapore Hackathon is the first of its kind joint International hackathon between India and Singapore during which the selected bright students from India and Singapore will work in collaboration to develop innovative and out-of-the- box solution for some of the daunting problems faced by our societies.
Mr.Subrahmanyam said this year
the hackathon is focused on quality education, Good Health and clean energy. He further informed that theme for education this year will be attentiveness of students in the classroom which can be measured using facials recognition video processing image processing and Internet of Things.
The Secretary said some teams are also working on sentiment analysis for the students. Mr. Subrahmanyam informed that 20 teams with 6 team members each will participate in the hackathon and top teams will win prizes from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
