3 killed, 67 injured in Durga Puja pandal fire at Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh

Bhadohi: In Uttar Pradesh, three persons including two boys and one woman were killed and 67 people injured after a fire broke out at a Durga Puja pandal in Aurai town of Bhadohi district last night, October 2. ADG of police Ramkumar has formed a 4 member SIT to investigate the matter.

Of the 67 injured, 42 people suffered severe burn injuries and were taken to Banaras Hindu



University (BHU) Trauma Centre in Varanasi. The rest of the injured are being treated at Gopiganj. 

Bhadohi district magistrate Gaurang Rathi said that prima facie, a short circuit appeared to be the cause of the fire. The incident at the pandal near Aurai Police station took place at around 10 pm yesterday, October 2.
