3 Maoists killed in encounter with security forces in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, three female Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur district yesterday. After the encounter, the security forces recovered the bodies of the killed Maoists along with two rifles and a large amount of Maoist material from the spot.

Narayanpur district Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar said that after receiving



intelligence inputs about the presence of more than 30 Maoists on the border of Kanker district, a joint team of Border Security Force, District Reserve Guard and Special Task Force was sent for searching. During the search operation, the Maoists ambushed the team, in retaliatory action by the security forces, three Maoists were killed.
