Jammu: In Jammu and Kashmir, the 33rd batch of over 1100 pilgrims left for the cave shrine of Amarnath from Jammu early morning today for the twin base camps of Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir. With this, 1,46,363 pilgrims have now departed the Jammu base camp for the Kashmir Valley since June 30. So far, a total of 4,10,095 pilgrims have visited the Amarnath Cave Shrine this



year.

The 62-day annual pilgrimage to the cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas commenced on July 1 and is scheduled to conclude on August 31. The Yatra is progressing smoothly, with devotees from across the country thronging the base camps to have a glimpse of the naturally formed Ice-Shivlingam and offer their prayers.
