In Bihar, a total of 38 candidates are in the fray for the bypoll in four assembly segments of Tarari, Imamganj, Belaganj and Ramgarh. On the last day of withdrawal out of 44 valid nominations six candidates pulled out their candidature for the by-election.
    
The Belaganj assembly segment is witnessing maximum number of contestants where 14 candidates are trying their luck in the bypoll. In Bhojpur district 10



candidates are contesting in Tarari assembly segment whereas nine contestants are in the fray in prestigious Imamganj seat in Gaya district.

For the lone seat of by-election in Kaimur district five contestants are in the fray. Polling will be held on 13th November in all four assembly segments. The bypoll was necessitated in Bihar due to election of all four incumbent MLAs to the 18th Lok Sabha.
