4 terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, four terrorists were killed in an encounter today that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Melhoora village in South Kashmir's Shopian district last night.

According to the Defence Public Relations Officer in Srinagar, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by



joint team of forces including 55 Rashtriya Rifles and Shopian Police on a specific input about the presence of terrorists. During the searches, the hiding terrorists fired upon the security forces which was retaliated, triggering an encounter that resulted into the killing of four terrorists.
