Jaipur: The fourth and final meeting of the Trade and Investment Working Group of G 20 will take place in Jaipur from today. After this, the Ministerial level meeting of the Trade and Investment Group will be held in Jaipur on 24th and 25th of this month. Both the meetings will be attended by over 300 delegates, including G20 member states, Trade Ministers and Secretaries of invited countries, heads of regional groupings and delegations of international organizations.
The five priority issues - Trade for Growth & Prosperity, Resilient Trade and GVCs, Integrating MSMEs in World Trade, Logistics for Trade and WTO Reforms will be discussed among the G20 member/invitee countries
during the meetings. The focus of the meeting would be to build consensus on accomplishing action-oriented proposals put forward by the Indian Presidency on global trade and investment-related issues.
The shivir will discuss various issues including the roadmap for India to become a developed nation by 2047. Secretaries and Senior officials from various departments of the Ministry of Finance and ministry of corporate affairs will attend the shivir. On the sidelines of the Chintan shivir of Union finance minister Nirmala sitaraman yesterday interacted with the G20 India representatives and reviewed the progress of the G 20 Finance track.
