5-day week for Manipur Government offices from April 1

Imphal: In Manipur, the five days working in a week for all offices and PSUs under the State Government will be followed from the first of the next month.

 

The State Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, which was the first such meeting after the formation of new State Government, decided that Monday to Friday will be working days in a week for all government offices in Manipur. An order issued yesterday evening by the Secretariat of the General Administration Department said that these working days will be followed by all government offices except vacation



Departments.

 

As per order, the working hours for government offices in Summer would be 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM including half hours lunch break starting from 1.00 PM. While the working hours in Winter season would be 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM including half hour lunch break.

The school hours will start at 8.00 Am in all schools across the State from Monday to Saturday. The Department of Education (Schools) will decide and fix length of School hours separately for various levels, the order said.
