In Jammu and Kashmir, the winter capital Jammu remained colder than Srinagar again during the day yesterday whereas, five flights and two trains were cancelled and nine delayed, due to dense fog and poor visibility in Jammu. Jammu recorded a day temperature of 9.6 degrees C which is 2 degrees less than that of Srinagar yesterday.
The summer capital Srinagar recorded a day temperature of 11.6 degrees C, as compared to 13.0 degrees C on Sunday. The winter capital-Jammu also remained colder during the day
than Katra, Batote, Banihal and Bhaderwah towns.
Five flights were cancelled and six others were delayed at the Jammu Airport due to poor visibility and dense fog yesterday. Two trains were cancelled at Jammu station while nine other trains were delayed due to fog in the region. Met official said that weather is likely to be dry till January 24 and from January 25-26, generally, cloudy weather with light snow is expected at isolated higher reaches.
