Kurnool: Six railway employees from Kadapa have been suspended following a goods train derailment incident that took place at Kadapa railway station on August 9.

Senior railway authorities took this action in response to alleged negligence on the part of these individuals. Senior divisional operations manager of the Guntakal division Shravan Kumar issued the order for their suspension.

The incident involved the Nandyal demo train, which prompted a thorough investigation.

The



findings confirmed that the derailment was a direct result of staff negligence. Consequently, the following individuals have been suspended: Kadapa station manager D. Narasimha Reddy, deputy traffic inspector Ramesh Reddy, station superintendent Lal Babu Singh, senior goods train master Khasim, points woman Shanti and points man Pratap. Additionally, officials have enforced travel restrictions on personnel in Kadapa, requiring them to obtain prior permission before leaving the area.
