Around 64,000 people have taken the pledge to donate their organs, under the Ayushman Bhav campaign which was launched last month at the national level. The campaign was implemented during the 'Seva Pakhwada' from the 17th of September to the 2nd of October this month. Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has also registered himself for organ donation.
Dr Mandaviya today said that the Ayushman Bhav campaign remained very successful and it received an overwhelming response from the people. He informed that around 2.70 lakh health mela were organized in which over 1.61 crore people visited and took benefits. Dr. Mandaviya said that under the campaign, around 64 lakh Ayushman cards were issued and over one crore ABHA ID Cards were
generated.

In the mela, more than 23 lakh patients visited for OPD consultations, and over 30,000 major and minor surgeries were performed. The campaign focused on saturation coverage of health schemes in mission mode, across the nation, through its whole-of-nation and whole-of-society approach.
This synergistic approach aimed to saturate coverage of health services through its three components Ayushman - Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Melas at Health and Wellness Centres and Community Health Centres, and Ayushman Sabhas in every village and panchayat.
