In Maharashtra, seven people lost their lives and one was injured when a slab from the fourth floor of a building fell in Ulhasnagar area of Thane district last night. The ill-fated building, which has 29 flats, is located at Camp no 2 at Ulhasnagar’s Nehru Chowk area. 

The incident took place at around 10 pm last night when a loud noise was heard after the



slab collapsed. While some residents fled the building following the collapse, rest were evacuated by help of locals and rescue workers. Fire Brigade and Municipal body workers rushed for relief and rescue operations. Earlier, five people were killed and 10 others injured when a slab of Mohini building collapsed in Ulhasnagar 15 days ago.
