The Tourism Ministry yesterday said that till the 31st of October this year, the Country has registered a footfall of 70 lakh 24 thousand Foreign Tourists. In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said an increase of 55.6 percent has been registered this year in comparison to 2022. He informed that, during 2022, the footfall of Foreign Tourists
was 60 lakh 44 thousand in the country.
The Union Minister said the Tourism Ministry is taking several steps including implementation of the Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SD) and Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) to bolster the Tourism sector.
