723 distressed Indians were repatriated on Tuesday from UAE on the special flights under the Vande Bharat Mission. From Abu Dhabi, two special flights to Kochi and Chennai took back 366 passengers. Two company labour charters carried 364 people back to Bhubneshwar and Delhi.
In a tweet, India Consulate in Dubai said two flights to Lucknow and Kozhikode carried 357 passengers back to India. Since the beginning of the Vande Bharat Mission last month, 80
flights have operated from Dubai carrying back 14,300 people. In addition more than 50 mortal remains have also been sent back from Dubai.
Doha had a flight to Thiruvanathapuram, which took back 175 Indians and three infants on board. Muscat operated a flight to Vijaywada with 180 passengers and five infants while Kuwait had a flight to Kozhikode to take back the distressed citizens to India.
