In Punjab, at least eight passengers have been killed in a road accident in Bhatinda when a bus fell into a drain after crashing into a bridge. The bus was coming from Talwandi Sabo. Bhatinda Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmed Parray said that 26 others traveling in the bus have been injured and admitted to various hospitals.



They are safe and stable. 

He said that NDRF and district police reached the spot soon after the accident and rescued the passengers with the help of volunteers. A control room has been set up with mobile numbers 97801-00498 and 96468-15951 for inquiries.
