84866 posts lying vacant in Central Armed Police Forces

The Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday that there are a total of 84,866 posts lying vacant in six Central Armed Police Forces, including the CRPF and BSF, against the total sanctioned strength of 10,05,520.

stated that the recruitment of 31,785 personnel in the CAPF has been done in the past five months.

The vacancies in CAPF increased on account of retirements, resignations, promotions, death, the new raising of the battalion, creation of new posts, etc, he said.
