Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday said his Ministry has made many efforts in the last hundred days for employment generation.
Briefing media in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Mandaviya highlighted that nine infrastructure projects have been approved by the Centre in the last 100 days which will generate employment for 11 crore man days. He said all efforts are on development through employment generation. The Labour Minister pointed
out that the NDA government has brought an employment-centric Union Budget this year.
The Minister stressed that the Centre is committed to providing social security to gig workers and brainstorming and consultations in this regard are on. He also mentioned that pensioners will receive their pension from their nearest bank from 1st January 2025 under the Centralised Pension Payment System.
