930 Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled From Friday To Sunday Noon

The Central Railway in Mumbai has appealed to passengers to avoid travelling in local trains from midnight to Sunday afternoon as at least  930 local trains would be cancelled owing to a 63-hour mega block. Central Railway has informed that it will implement a 63-hour mega block for platform widening work in Thane station from Thursday midnight till Sunday afternoon. 

Simultaneously, a 36-hour mega



block will also be implemented at the CSMT station for platform extension work to accommodate 24-coach trains. The CR has also requested all the establishments to give their respective staff the opportunity to work from home or any other means to reduce the number of passengers on these days. It said these blocks are essential for infrastructure upgrades and long-term benefits.
